A Scunthorpe man has been handed a prison term of five years and ten months after confessing to charges of rape. The accused, Craig Hillman, aged 36, received his sentence at Grimsby Crown Court subsequent to his admission of the felony on the 7th of July. Aside from his incarceration, Mr Hillman is subject to a restraining order for a duration of 10 years and his details will be permanently recorded on the sex offenders register. Det Constable Rebecca McInnis from Humberside Police took part in the investigation, and remarked upon the long-standing distress the victim had encountered as a result of Mr Hillman’s crimes.
