Jason Bickford, who resides on Honington Approach in Lincoln, has been handed a prison sentence exceeding six years following a savage assault on a 70-year-old man riding a mobility scooter. The attack took place on the night of 13 August of the previous year on Baggholme Road. Bickford attempted to mug the elderly man by tugging at his bag, which resulted in the victim’s fall from his scooter and the infliction of severe, life-altering injuries. Although knocked to the ground, the pensioner courageously used his walking stick to defend himself against Bickford, who ultimately absconded without managing to steal anything.
