Fire Crews Tackle Roof Blaze in Historic Louth

Fire crews launched a substantial response as they confronted a fire on the roof of a property situated in the historic market town of Louth, Lincolnshire. Ten fire engines were summoned to St Mary’s Lane just after 10:00 BST on Thursday. Helen Tooley, divisional commander at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, shared that the home’s owners contacted the emergency services after a successful evacuation. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains unconfirmed, but Ms Tooley noted that an occupant in the bathroom first suspected the smell of smoke, which led them to examine the loft space.
