Title: Lincolnshire Couple and Step-Father Imprisoned Following Extensive Drug Operation
A Lincolnshire couple has received prison sentences subsequent to police finding a considerable quantity of cocaine at a farm stable block. Nicola Dyer, 40, who lives at Marina Court, Burton Waters, Lincoln, assumed responsibility for her husband Philip Dyer’s drug operation subsequent to his incarceration for drug trafficking and laundering money in 2018, as disclosed at Lincoln Crown Court. Officers later discovered the cocaine together with adulterating substances and a hydraulic press at stables located in Greetwell, close to Lincoln. The Dyers and Nicola Dyer’s stepfather, Romualdas Budrys, 70, admitted to conspiring to dispatch Class A drugs from March 2017 through June 2019.
The prosecutor, Phillip Plant, noteworthy the operation as a ‘substantial enterprise.’ At age 45, Philip Dyer was already serving a sentence subsequent to police searching a farm located in Navenby, near Sleaford. In his defence, Dominic Thomas recognised Dyer’s role as the originator of the drug operation and substantiated he had been under arrest since March 2018. Clare Wade KC, speaking for Nicola Dyer, accentuated her involvement was driven by her children and characterised her as having created a separate life away from her spouse. Chris Jeyes, who defended Budrys, alluded to his minor part in the operation and his earlier confession of guilt.
Philip Dyer was sentenced to nine years and four months in prison, Nicola Dyer was sentenced to six years and four months, and Budrys received a three year, four months sentence. In his sentencing remarks, Recorder Graham Huston classified the enterprise as a ‘very significant and profitable operation.’
