Originally, conceived in 1989 to streamline problem-solving with remote control software, NetSupport soon expanded its reach to the educational sector. CEO Al Kingsley recalls the evolution of their tech, from remote control software designed to reduce travel and increase efficiency, to classroom management tools that help teachers guide their students’ digital activities. NetSupport’s mission extends beyond classroom management; it aims to protect students from harmful online content and provide tools for comprehension testing. Moreover, it offers school-wide alert systems, particularly relevant in the US, where school incidents necessitate immediate lockdowns. In 2002, NetSupport relocated from Peterborough to Market Deeping, establishing its UK headquarters and branching out to Atlanta, Toronto, and Munich. The company collaborates with global companies and Ministries of Education to refine their classroom products. Kingsley notes that Fortune 500 firms utilise their software for IT management, enabling efficient problem-solving and device inventory. Recently crowned the Export Business of the Year at the 2025 Lincolnshire Business Awards, NetSupport also bagged the Winner of Winners Award. Kingsley expressed delight over the local recognition, stating it’s a refreshing change from their usual international accolades.
