In a twist that left Grimsby feeling a touch of the Victorian era, over 3,000 locals found themselves without electricity on Monday’s afternoon, as reported by Northern Powergrid. The power failure hit just before 2pm BST, causing more than 300 concerned customers to flood the company with calls reporting issues with their supply. Northern Powergrid, however, didn’t leave Grimsby in the dark for long. A spokesperson confirmed that power had been restored to all properties bar one, and fully anticipated the issue to be rectified by 10am BST. Here’s hoping the residents of Grimsby have their kettles back on the boil soon!
