RNLI Urges Caution on Lincolnshire Beaches This Bank Holiday

The RNLI is encouraging individuals who are planning to venture to Lincolnshire’s coastal areas, especially well-liked locations such as Skegness and Anderby Creek, to omit inflatables from their packing list this bank holiday weekend. The emergency water service highlighted the danger that inflatables can be quickly swept out to sea due to offshore winds, thus creating a substantial safety hazard. Visitors are further urged to select beaches that have lifeguard services and to ensure they swim exclusively between the red and yellow flags, an area which is deemed safe and is consistently surveyed. This guidance is provided in the wake of a regrettable incidence whereby five individuals lost their lives on Lincolnshire beaches in the preceding four months, which amplifies the necessity of following safety norms.
