Lincolnshire’s Chapel Studios: A Hidden Gem for Rock Legends

Nestled within the idyllic village of South Thoresby in Lincolnshire, a former Victorian chapel has undergone a transformative journey from place of worship to becoming a revered recording sanctuary for the crème de la crème of British music. The Chapel Studios, currently owned by Andy Dransfield, has had the privilege of hosting famed bands such as the Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Wet Wet Wet, and The Darkness. This distinct residential studio provides artists a respite from the glaring public eye, enabling them to concentrate on their artistry amidst the tranquillity of the Lincolnshire countryside.

This dream was initially nurtured over half a decade ago when Dransfield began recording demos in his garden shed and has since burgeoned into a flourishing recording business. Now on the cusp of handing over the reins to a younger generation, the chapel remains alive and resounding with the rhythm of rock history.
