Huttoft Woman Admits Causing Deaths of Two Young Brothers in Tragic Sutton on Sea Collision

Amy Sheppard, 29, from Mumby Road, Huttoft, has confessed to causing the tragic deaths of two young brothers in a car accident that shocked the local Lincolnshire community. The incident happened on 2 October 2023, when Sheppard’s Vauxhall Astra collided with an Audi at Sutton on Sea. The heart-rending event took the lives of eight-year-old Louie Ellis, and his younger brother, Mason Ellis, aged six, whilst a four-year-old boy was injured but survived the accident. Sheppard was presented at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court where she admitted to two charges of causing death by inattentive driving, and to causing severe injury through careless driving to three individuals in the other car involved. She has been released on bail and is awaiting sentencing at the Crown Court on an unspecified date.
