The once vibrant Buzz Bingo spot in Grantham is set to undergo a stunning transformation into a self-storage facility, courtesy of 4 Brothers Properties Ltd. South Kesteven District Council has given the thumbs up to the proposal, promising a fresh breath of life into the vacant bingo hall situated in Venture Way. The exciting revamp will see the building’s purpose shift, the addition of two roller shutter doors on the east side, and a spanking new entrance leading to a reception area. The plans also include the construction of 15 drive-up units, and the erection of a two-metre security fence and gates, all set within the existing car park. The facility is poised to operate six days a week, with hours stretching from the early bird time of 8am until the evening on weekdays, and shorter hours on weekends. The self-storage facility offers two types of services – storage within a larger building or in separate rented units. The latter includes traditional shipping containers or steel structures or the higher-end ‘drive-up’ units, which fetch a premium due to their top-notch offering. The once bustling bingo hall closed its doors for the final time in 2023 and was later up for grabs at a cool £1.2 million.
