Scunthorpe landlords along with letting agents are encouraged to familiarise themselves with a newly introduced licensing scheme. The scheme aims to elevate housing standards and combat antisocial behaviour. Information provision sessions are set to occur on 16 and 30 September, both taking place at Church Square House, Scunthorpe.
With the commencement of the next month, North Lincolnshire Council will instigate stricter licensing regulations. Property owners based in Town ward and Crosby and Park ward will be required to remit a minimum of £955 for a licence. The leader of North Lincolnshire Council, Councillor Rob Waltham, declared that the motive of the scheme is centred around community protection, upholding of standards, and promoting accountability.
