The bright and lively temporary youth facility, The Zone, is set to return to Sleaford this coming September, offering a weekend full of stimulating activities for the local youth. The marketplace will be transformed into a dynamic hub of free creative workshops, games, and chill out areas from 18th to 21st September. The spaces are aimed specifically at those aged between 11 – 18 years. The initiative is organised by Zest Theatre and backed by North Kesteven District Council. Richard Wright, council leader, underlines the significance of offering teenagers a safe and inclusive environment where they can socialise, build self-esteem, and integrate with the local community.
The Zone’s return isn’t a first; it had an earlier stop-off at the town in June, drawing in over 250 young attendees and demonstrating its popularity as well as necessity.
The operation hours of The Zone are slated from 15:00 to 19:00 GMT on both Thursday and Friday, and extend from 11:00 to 17:00 on Saturday and Sunday. One of the highlights this weekend is the teenager market happening on Saturday which will give the rising young business individuals a platform to showcase their skills and interact with prospective clients. Upping the anticipation, Shug Studios plans to host live performances by young musicians and bands. Additionally, The Hub in Sleaford will hold a free dance workshop for those above the age of 11, further enhancing the dynamic array of activities planned for the weekend.
Youths keen to join in on the activities can still sign up and take part in this wonderful and expression-filled opportunity to bond with their peers.
