Holbeach Man Seeks Lifesaving Stem Cell Donor

Dan Chapman, a 31-year-old resident of Holbeach, is in an urgent need of a lifesaving stem cell donor following his aplastic anaemia diagnosis in May. Despite his family members not being compatible donors, the local community is demonstrating unity and actively helping him in his search for a donor. A ‘Dan’s Day of Donation’ is being organised by his friends and family throughout Lincolnshire, wherein they are encouraging the locals to sign up for the stem cell donor registry. The donation activities are planned for this Saturday from 10:00-16:00 BST and will take place at numerous locations including Pippa’s Pantry in Sutton Bridge, Unicorns and Riderz Bar and Grill in Long Sutton, Shoestring Cafe in Holbeach, and the Marketplace in Spalding. Dan, who was extremely fit and healthy prior to this unfortunate diagnosis, is emphasising on the importance of finding a matching donor as early as possible. He notes that the donation process is straightforward and has immense potential to save lives.
