Lincolnshire Copper Lands in Hot Water Over Alleged Course of Justice Jiggery-Pokery

A bobby from Lincolnshire is slated to face the music in court, accused of spinning a tall tale regarding a speeding violation. PC Laura Kaciulyte, a 30-year-old officer with Lincolnshire Police, is due to make her appearance at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on the 3rd of April. Stationed in Lincoln, the officer has been charged with the serious offence of intending to pervert the course of justice. The incident reportedly took place on the 17th of June, 2024, at the same court. Accusations revolve around Kaciulyte allegedly presenting false information, known in legal parlance as false mitigation. This alleged misrepresentation was related to a speeding offence and is considered a potential corruption of public justice. A notification regarding the charge was publicised on the Lincolnshire Police website at a bright and early 9.05am on Wednesday, April 2nd.
