This winter, Lincoln Castle is poised to sparkle once again as the popular Christmas lights event makes a comeback. The event offers an ideal opportunity for visitors to enjoy traditional delights such as mead, mulled wine, and hot chocolates available across several food and drink stalls.
Lincolnshire County Council has organised festivities which will start on 21 November, providing a magical experience with the unveiling of an ice palace. The castle’s walls will be invigorated with engaging displays that include large illuminated letters spelling ‘Lincoln’, Christmas trees, a Christmas Express ride, and traditional fairground attractions.
This charming event will be held from Wednesday to Sunday until 23 December. Gates will be open for visitors from 17:30 GMT on weekdays and from 16:00 on weekends, closing at 21:00. The event promises to be a memorable experience, encouraging both the local community and visitors alike to soak in the festive atmosphere.
