Tragedy as Man Dies After Car Enters River Witham in Boston

A lamentable event took place in Boston when a man tragically lost his life upon his vehicle entering the River Witham. Lincolnshire Police received reports on Sunday evening at approximately 21:40 BST of an incident at Witham Bank East, located near Sluice Bridge. Responding to the scene, officers located a black Audi A4 submerged in the water. The 39-year-old driver, the only individual in the vehicle, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigations indicate that prior to the accident, the man had been driving through the Fydell Street and Union Place areas. The authorities are calling upon witnesses who may have seen the vehicle that evening, or anyone with relevant dashcam or doorbell footage, to step forward and assist in constructing the sequence of events leading to this tragic accident.
