Skegness Welcomes First Purpose-Built Vocational College Campus

The education sector in Skegness is experiencing a significant milestone with the opening of the town’s inaugural purpose-built vocational college. Set on Wainfleet Road, Skegness College represents £14 million in investment and forms part of the TEC Partnership. This fresh addition to the academic landscape is a major component of the Skegness Gateway scheme, which also includes fresh residential and industrial developments.

The cutting-edge facilities avail students a myriad of vocational education possibilities, featuring a care flat, hospital ward, and hairdressing and beauty salon. Moreover, the campus boasts motor vehicle, plumbing, electrical, and construction workshops, in addition to business IT suites.

Campus director, Morag Moore, expressed her joy at seeing the enthusiasm of the students as they explored their new learning spaces. The project was greatly supported by the government-backed Connected Coast Town Deal, indicative of its importance to the local populace.
