Three Men Charged with Arson After Grimsby Vehicle Fires

Five vehicles were destroyed following a pre-dawn fire in Grimsby on Tuesday, prompting a swift response from Humberside Police and local fire brigades. The incident occurred on Barmouth Drive, waking residents around 00:40 BST. Authorities suspect the blaze was intentional and have charged three men with arson intending to endanger life.

Those facing charges include Jason Gladding, 35, from Columbus Way, and Gary Mills, 41, from Beeson Street, both Grimsby locals. The third accused is Matthew Somerfield, 39, who has no permanent address. All three have been remanded in custody and will appear at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

This incident highlights the ongoing safety and crime issues in the surrounding region, particularly in Lincolnshire, where local communities are joining forces with law enforcement to safeguard their streets.
