Following a 16-hour-long journey, involving multiple flights, Zara has acclimatised to her new heated enclosure at Lincoln Zoo. This year, the arrival of Zara and Randhir, who was earlier transported from Germany, is viewed as a crucial contribution in the efforts to create a new, genetically diverse bloodline from Asia.
The local community played a significant role in facilitating Zara’s transfer, including the assistance of Gainsborough MP, Sir Edward Leigh. His support was crucial in updating the health certification requirements and making Zara’s move possible.
