The A46 Lincoln Bypass is due to be closed tonight for necessary maintenance work. Lincolnshire County Council has made it known that diversions will be put in place to enable tasks such as the cleansing of signs and drains, cutting of grass, hedge trimming, and litter collection. The affected section will span from Carholme roundabout to Wragby Road roundabout, with the closure scheduled from 19:00 to 06:00 GMT the following morning. Karen Cassar, the council’s director for highways, commented: ‘These works will total an approximate cost of £20,000 and will enhance the road’s ability to shed surface water, thereby bolstering its safety.’
