Humber Renewables Awards 2025: The Contenders Revealed

The glittering shortlist for the prestigious Humber Renewables Awards 2025 has finally been unveiled. The event, which has enjoyed a record-breaking number of entries in this post-pandemic year, will mark its 13th year with a grand gala dinner on Thursday, May 1. The celebration, organised in collaboration with Orsted, RWE, and Siemens Gamesa, promises to honour multi-million pound initiatives, remarkable job creation, significant carbon-saving projects, and increased environmental awareness. This event will bring a fitting end to the Humber Marine and Renewables’ Offshore Wind Connections conference and exhibition. Sheena McGuinness, an expert in renewables at RSM UK, returned to assess the 2025 entries. McGuinness praised the quality of the submissions, particularly noting the innovation evident in the apprentice applications and recently completed projects. The esteemed judging panel, which included regional experts such as Jacqueline Gray of the University of Lincoln and Fred PR’s Dave Laister, examined eight different categories, with special awards set to be announced on the night. Tickets, priced at £75, are still up for grabs for the grand event at Hull’s DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Sponsorships from Orsted, RWE, and Siemens Gamesa, among others, support the event. To find out how you can get involved, email awards@humber-renewables.com or visit their website. The shortlist for 2025 includes exciting categories such as Apprentice of the Year, Best Renewable Energy Project or Installation, and Humber Renewables Woman of the Year.
