Four Grimsby Men Plead Not Guilty to Arson Charges in Vehicle Blaze

Four Grimsby residents are being accused of arson following a destructive fire which razed five vehicles in the locality. The incident transpired on Barmouth Drive, circling around 00:40 hours on the 14th of October. During the proceedings at the Grimsby Crown Court, the alleged perpetrators—David Maddison, a 37-year-old resident of Beeson Street; Jason Gladding, 35 years of age, residing on Columbus Way; Gary Mills, a 41-year-old also from Beeson Street; and Matthew Somerfield, a 39-year-old presently without a fixed address —all entered pleas of not guilty to the charge of arson with an intention to endanger life. Out of the charged men, three continue to be held in custody whereas Mr Mills has been provisionally granted a bail with certain conditions. Their courtroom trial has been slated for the 13th of April, 2026.
