Lincolnshire Doctor Develops Innovative Sticky Tape for the Visually Impaired

Dr Rajan Bhojwani, an eye surgeon based in Lincolnshire, has invented a new type of sticky tape designed to assist visually impaired individuals. The inspiration for this innovative product came from a patient who expressed difficulties in wrapping gifts properly due to the challenge of locating the end of the tape.

Previously a chief consultant at North Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Bhojwani now operates out of North Hykeham and Grantham. He dedicated four years to the development of ‘See The Tape’. This inventive product is distinguishable by its unique black inner core, which allows users to find the end of the tape with greater ease.

The Partially Sighted Society in Doncaster has road-tested the product, providing favourable reviews. Dr Bhojwani recently was guest on Dragons’ Den on the BBC, where he successfully secured a £35,000 investment from Steven Bartlett, aiding in the expansion of the product’s market growth.
