Lincolnshire Police Encourage Knife Surrender During National Campaign

Lincolnshire Police are calling on local residents to hand in any knives or other weapons during National Knife Surrender Week, also known as Operation Sceptre. The campaign, with the goal of decreasing the total number of weapons within the local community, will remain in effect until the conclusion of the week. Residents are invited to safely turn in knives to their nearest police station and are assured that during this surrender, questions will not be asked. Chief Inspector Tim Harrison underlined the significance of removing unused knives from one’s residence to stave off potential illegal activities. The Lincoln Post adapted this story from original reports published by www.bbc.com.
