Public Inquiry Scheduled for Sleaford Solar Farm Plans

A public inquiry has been scheduled to investigate the controversial plans for a solar farm close to Sleaford. Developer, Mareham Lane Solar Ltd, has successfully overturned North Kesteven District Council’s original rejection of the scheme. This public inquiry, commencing on 3 February, will concentrate on the proposed 75-acre site in Scredington, a location that has sparked archaeological interest after the discovery of prehistoric, Roman, and medieval artefacts. Local councillors Mervyn Head and Ian Carrington, although recognising the absence of a valid reason for further dispute of the appeal, have voiced their dismay and apprehension about the potential impact on public faith in the planning processes.
