Grimsby Bus Lane Plans Delayed for Further Resident and Business Consultation

The anticipated implementation of a bus lane on Cleethorpe Road’s eastbound carriageway in Grimsby has been put on a temporary halt. The North East Lincolnshire Council has paused the plan due to opposition from local businesses and councillors from the East Marsh ward. They have protested due to concerns about parking and possible traffic congestion. As a result, the council is now looking for more feedback from residents and businesses prior to moving forward. Councillor Stewart Swinburn, who is responsible for housing, infrastructure, and transport, mentioned that the final decision has been deferred to ensure that all perspectives are considered.
