This year’s Christmas display at Grimsby Community Recycling Centre on Estuary Way is delighting visitors with its festive allure. The centre, well-known for its inventive themed displays, has once again exceeded expectations with a welcoming living room scene – complete with Santa’s gifts, mischievous elves carolling on a locally-crafted piano, and playful figures made from recycled materials, including snowmen made from tyres and figures of the Grinch.
Sharon Hunt, director at Paprec, the company that oversees the site, expressed her gratitude to the community’s support. “Our team puts in a stellar effort every year, and we’re immensely grateful for the public’s donations,” she declared. The creative displays at the centre not only delight visitors, but also support local charities. Each year, they help to raise more than £20,000 for organisations such as St. Andrew’s Hospice, Women’s Aid, and Young Carers.
The public is invited to experience the captivating display throughout the festive season, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day when the site will be shut. However, a gentle reminder for visitors: please don’t remove any articles from the display as they are often repurposed for future decor.
