Around 100 motorcyclists, famously known as the Scunny Bikers, brought festive cheer to children at Scunthorpe General Hospital by delivering Christmas presents. Donning festive costumes, these bikers delivered gifts, contributed mainly by the local populace and businesses, to young patients in the Disney Ward. Gemma Lawrence, a senior staff nurse, mentioned how much joy this act brought to the children. Gavin Stubbs, who organised this event, showed gratitude to everyone who donated gifts, which included toys and toiletries. This marked the 13th year of this lovely tradition. With help from donations by supermarkets in Scunthorpe and Jenny’s Café in Hibaldstow, this initiative made a significant impression. Vikki McAlpine, the ward manager, underlined how this pleasant distraction benefitted the children during the holiday season.
