Humberston Care Home Earns ‘Outstanding’ Rating for Exceptional Personalised Care

Humberston House, a care home situated nearby Grimsby and serving the Lincolnshire community, has been distinguished with an ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) owing to its superior care services. The home, specially designed to accommodate up to 72 adults, often those suffering from dementia, sensory impairments, or physical disabilities, has been lauded for its personal and attentive care approach.

Overseeing Manager Claire Stainton expressed pride in the home’s dedication to cater chiefly to residents’ desires, pointing out instances such as arranging a Robbie Williams tribute act for a resident who was a lifelong fan. Through the establishment’s unique ‘wish tree’ scheme, residents have a platform to voice their wants effortlessly. The staff then works relentlessly to make these wishes come true, ensuring each resident feels valued with a personalised experience.

Praising the home’s considerate, caring, and supportive staff, CQC deputy director Alison Chilton highlighted their commendable efforts. This includes offering a wide variety of nutritious meals that also accommodate individual preferences. The review, carried out between September and October, observed that 44 people were living at Humberston House, where the ethos promotes residents to lead enriched lives.
