The Grimsby Community Recycling Centre (CRC) has sprung into the Easter spirit, just in time for local residents to get their spring cleaning underway. The recent display at the recycling centre is set to turn heads with its unique creations, from tyre-made birds to cone-constructed windmills. Councillor Henry Hudson, who holds the Environment and Net Zero portfolio, praised the Grimsby CRC team for their creative efforts, which he said added a dash of delight to every visitor’s trip. ‘Every time there’s a special occasion or season, I’m always eager to see what they’ll come up with next,’ Hudson expressed. He emphasised the importance of the CRC in disposing of unwanted items, urging residents to utilise this facility. However, he acknowledged that not everyone can make the trip and advised those seeking help from others to ensure they’re using a licensed waste carrier, who should then take it to a fully licensed waste management company. Both Grimsby and Immingham CRCs, managed by North East Lincolnshire Council’s waste management contractor Newlincs Development Ltd, are open daily from 8am to 6pm.
