Lincolnshire Village Braces for a Property Boom as 110 Homes are Proposed

Despite initial plans for 78 residences, a staggering 110 homes are now being proposed for a site on the outskirts of a Lincolnshire village. The land north of Moor Lane in Leasingham, previously designated for housing in the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan, could undergo a significant transformation. The Warrendale Group Limited asserts that this expanded proposal is a more efficient use of the land and will provide a greater number of affordable homes. The new estate, situated on Leasingham’s eastern edge, will feature a blend of bungalows, two-storey detached, semi-detached, and terraced houses, likely ranging from two to five bedrooms. However, this substantial increase in housing may raise eyebrows among councillors, who could express concerns about potential overcrowding. The application remains speculative at this stage, with various developers reportedly expressing interest should planning permission be secured. Final approval concerning the layout and size of the properties will be subject to a future application. Comments regarding the proposed scheme are currently welcomed on the North Kesteven District Council’s website.
