A newly launched booklet, aimed at providing support for children who are coping with bereavement, is set to be circulated in schools, hospitals, and GP practices throughout Northern Lincolnshire. The project was put together by bereaved children themselves along with Alex Wray, an end-of-life matron at the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Their hope was to offer some solace and direction to young people and their families dealing with the tribulations of loss. Wray emphasised the significance of including children’s perspectives and knowledge in order to shape a resource that delivers empathy and positivity.
