Local Lads Locked Up for Peddling Class A Drugs

Joshua Deakins, 21, and Jake Clarke, 19, both of Grimsby, have been sentenced to prison time for their involvement in the distribution of Class A drugs within their hometown. Deakins, hailing from Spring Bank, plead guilty to two charges related to the supply of Class A drugs, resulting in a three-year prison sentence. Clarke, a resident of Evesham Avenue, admitted to a slew of offences including affray, possession of a bladed article, attempted robbery, and involvement in the supply of Class A drugs, earning him a prison stay of four years and five months. The pair received their sentences at Grimsby Crown Court last Friday. The court’s decision comes in the wake of an investigation into an organised crime group suspected of running a county lines drugs network in the local area.
