Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln has reopened its doors after an unsanctioned travellers’ site was successfully relocated. The university premises off Longsdale Road had become an impromptu parking lot for up to 30 caravans and vehicles last Thursday. University authorities had advised staff, students, and visitors to keep their distance while the encampment persisted. Deputy Vice-Chancellor Tom Dannatt confirmed that the group vacated the campus on Saturday, following police intervention and the issue of an eviction notice.
