Triple Speedway Champion Woffinden Discloses Shocking Crash Injuries

Tai Woffinden, the three-time speedway world champion, has candidly shared the horrifying details of the injuries he sustained in a severe accident in Poland last month. The 34-year-old Scunthorpe native was airlifted to hospital and put into a medically-induced coma following a collision with a fellow team member on the 30th of March. Woffinden’s injuries were extensive, including a double fracture in his right leg, a broken back and shoulder, multiple rib fractures, a punctured lung, a fractured arm and severe blood loss. Expressing his ordeal on social media, Woffinden described the act of listing out his injuries as ‘wild’.
