Heartrending Verdict at Inquest for Beloved Louth Actress Samantha Davis

The lamentable demise of Louth actress Samantha Davis, the late wife of noted Star Wars and Harry Potter actor, Warwick Davis, was due to a cardiac arrest following complications from crucial surgery, an inquest has found. Coroner, Professor Fiona Wilcox, praised the ‘excellent care’ delivered to the 53-year-old at University College Hospital, London, where she tragically passed away on March 24 last year. The verdict has left many in shock as the surgery itself was successful, but complications later led to her untimely death. Warwick Davis, in his heartfelt tribute to Samantha at the BAFTA awards earlier this year, referred to her as his ‘super-power’. Louth was often graced with their presence as the couple frequently visited Samantha’s family and friends there. Warwick also participated in award ceremonies at Samantha’s old school, Monks’ Dyke Technology College. The family has expressed their intent to keep Samantha’s legacy alive through the ‘Sammy’s Helping Hands fund’, aimed at supporting young people with dwarfism across the UK. Born as Samantha D. Burroughs on January 30, 1971, Samantha was diagnosed with achondroplasia, a disorder causing disproportionate dwarfism. She left her mark in the industry with roles in Through the Dragon’s Eye, ShortFellas and Honky Sausages, and her work alongside Warwick in the 1988 film Willow. It was on the set of Willow that the teenage Samantha first crossed paths with Warwick, leading to a memorable love story.
