Dog-Walking Restrictions and Barbecue Ban Kick Off at Cleethorpes Beach

As the bustling season descends upon Cleethorpes beach, the North East Lincolnshire Council is reminding dog owners about the annual restrictions on dog-walking starting from Good Friday, 18th April. Dogs will not be allowed on the beach stretch between the Wonderland Rock Groyne and Cleethorpes Leisure Centre, although they are still permitted on the beach between the leisure centre and Humberston Fitties. This limitation will be in place till Tuesday, 30th September, with any violations incurring £100 fines as per the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). Council signage along the promenade and beach entrances clearly mark these rules. The council also warns against starting fires or barbecues on the beach, following recent sightings of potential bonfire structures. Councillor Ron Shepherd urges residents to respect these PSPOs and help maintain the pleasant atmosphere of Cleethorpes beach for all visitors.
