High-Speed Chase Uncovers £130k Heroin Haul

Lincolnshire Police conducted a high-speed chase that led to the arrest of a motorist, the seizure of £130,000 worth of heroin and a hidden knife. Amir Zaman of Sheffield was apprehended for driving over 100mph on the A1, near the Nottinghamshire border in February. Zaman attempted to deceive officers with untrue information when first questioned. However, further inspection of his vehicle uncovered the illegal substances and a kitchen knife measuring eight inches.

The 35-year-old has accepted guilt for a set of charges that include intent to supply Class A drugs, disqualified driving, possessing a knife and driving without insurance. Zaman has received a six-year prison sentence, delivered at the Lincoln Crown Court.
