In a progressive move toward improving accessibility, Butlin’s holiday camp in Skegness is implementing relaxed performances of their beloved shows. As of April 28, Monday, the Justin Fletcher Tots breaks are set to provide a more inclusive environment for children, adults, and young people with autism, learning differences, as well as other sensory or communication needs. These performances will feature subdued sounds and enhanced lighting. Furthermore, the cast will personally introduce themselves and run through the narrative to ensure guests feel comfortable.
Updated productions include the fresh Snow White and Her Magnificent Friends pantomime, Peppa Pig’s Circus Celebration, and the Skyline Gang’s Beside The Sea show. These modifications, encouraged by guest responses, aim to provide stress-free fun for everyone. Additionally, during the Justin Fletcher Tots breaks at the Skyline Pavilion, guests can engage with treasured characters like Peppa Pig, Billy Bear, and the Skyline Gang in a calm setting without loud music or lines. The Entertainment Director Mike Godolphin voiced the organisation’s devotion to inclusivity, underlining that every guest should be able to experience the brilliant entertainment at Butlin’s.
The Skegness site also boasts the inclusive SKYPARK playground, purposely built for children of all abilities. It spans six zones filled with sensory surprises, in addition to other attractions included in the stay package.
