Police Investigation Closes Spalding Road After Body Found in Dyke

A discovery of significant concern prompted an extensive police response in a Lincolnshire village in the early hours of Friday, April 25. A report was made to the Lincolnshire Police of a body discovered in a dyke on Spalding Road, Bourne, shortly before 3.30am.

At present, the circumstances of the death are being treated as unexplained. The identity and age of the deceased are yet to be determined by the police. Given the serious nature of the incident, officers will maintain a continued presence on the site, and to facilitate the work of emergency services, the A151 Spalding Road is closed in both directions.

The closure affects the stretch from Meadow Drove to Cherry Holt Road, and it is recommended that motorists look for alternative routes to prevent delays. According to traffic monitoring reports, despite the necessary detours, traffic was managing as of 7.45am. In the wake of this disturbing incident, authorities are ongoing with their investigations and implore the public to remain patient while the area is maintained secure.
