The Carre Arms in Sleaford is set to receive a renovation worth £1.8 million, following its acquisition by North Kesteven District Council. The council bought the hotel the previous year with the intention of preserving this important asset and sparking revival opportunities within the town. The proposed facelift, to commence in two weeks, will focus on the building’s facades, bedrooms, roofs, and reception area. The entire project is expected to take between 18 months to two years. The ambitious redevelopment has been funded through business rates; the council holds onto half of these for re-investment back into the local economy.
