A North Lincolnshire team of healthcare professionals has successfully secured further funding for another year, ensuring sustained support for approximately 200 individuals who find it difficult to access health services. The Community Inclusion Team at NHS Humber Health Partnership was developed to bridge this gap for those with restricted healthcare access due to a variety of personal circumstances. Since its establishment in 2023, this scheme has served as a beacon of hope for vulnerable individuals, including the travelling community and those without stable housing. The team’s initiatives, such as organising community drop-in sessions and direct visits to homeless individuals, have endeared them to the locals, leading to the affectionate nickname ‘the angels’. Their tireless efforts continue to deliver critical healthcare to those most in need.
