David Morris, a former non-flying RAF serviceman from Sleaford, is encouraging locals to donate their time in aid of military veterans. Morris, who served with the Red Arrows, was diagnosed with severe post-traumatic stress disorder in 2011. Now 45, he respects the charity Help for Heroes immensely as his personal support system and is of the opinion that additional volunteers could allow the charity to extend its help to more veterans. Help for Heroes provides a spectrum of activities, such as wheelchair basketball, archery, rowing, and creative writing, for the benefit of veterans and their families. The charity is also aiming to increase its social drop-in cafe sessions.
