In a distressing episode at a caravan park in Lincolnshire, 48-year old Lee Baker, and his 10-year-old daughter Esme, both residents of Retford, Nottinghamshire, tragically succumbed to smoke inhalation. The catastrophic blaze took place on the 5th of April at Golden Beach Holiday Park in Ingoldmells, near Skegness. Paying a poignant tribute, the family released a statement expressing that Lee and Esme were looking forward to spending their first holiday weekend together. The post-mortem investigations into their premature demises have been set in motion by Coroner Paul Smith and are planned to be subsequently scrutinised on the 5th of October at the Lincolnshire Coroner’s Court.
