Spalding Tragedy: Officer Recounts Discovery of Local Woman’s Body

Title: Spalding Incident: Police Officer Provides Testimony on Local Woman’s Fatal Discovery

An emotionally charged testimony was given at Lincoln Crown Court by a police officer, providing details upon finding the lifeless body of Kristine Sparane in her residence in Spalding. The event occurred on 26 November at Ms Sparane’s dwelling on Winsover Road. Brian Simpson, who is faced with a charge of her murder, has been declared not suitable for standard criminal procedures due to issues pertaining his mental health. A four-day factual examination is taking place to determine what led to Ms Sparane’s unfortunate demise.

The court was shown video footage of the victim, a 37-year-old woman, discovered motionless with a pillow on her face. The officer then graphically detailed the scene, stating: ‘Upon seeing Kristine on the bed, circled by a significant amount of blood, it was evident that she was no longer alive.’ Nearby, Mr Simpson was found lying face down, next to a kitchen knife streaked with blood, wearing only his trousers. An uninjured child was also present and later gave a statement before he was escorted to safety in a police vehicle.

Mr. Simpson, though initially presumed to be dead, voiced phrases such as ‘no, no, no’ and ‘they’re coming to kill me’ while being transported to the hospital. The local community remains on standby for more updates as the hearing proceeds.
