A heartfelt salute has been offered by the daughter of Alexandru Melei, a 60-year-old man who tragically died trying to save two young girls caught up in the sea near Skegness. Alexandru, in the UK visiting with his spouse, responded to the desperate pleas of the youngsters and courageously braved the sea near the Promenade in Ingoldmells. Tragically, he fell victim to the powerful waves. His daughter has declared him a hero for his brave and selfless actions in the face of danger. This incident has created a solemn atmosphere amongst the locals with numerous people commending Alexandru’s bravery and kindness.
