Students in North Lincolnshire studying sixth-form and college level will soon be granted with a newly introduced travel support aimed at making their commute to schools easier. The programme, which is devised for students residing more than three miles away from their campuses and those with special educational requirements or disabilities, provides financial assistance up to £362. North Lincolnshire Council announced the initiative intending to help students reach their schools and colleges during term time. Councillor Julie Reed, cabinet member responsible for families and children, underlined the council’s commitment to youth by saying, “We are committed to helping young people in North Lincolnshire access education and training opportunities to help them succeed.”
