Residents of Lincolnshire are being urged to share their views on measures to conserve local wildlife and nature. Councillor Rhys Baker, who is responsible for environment and waste, is inviting local residents, landowners, and organisations to engage in a consultation centred on biodiversity and rewilding initiatives. He stresses the significance of public opinions in guiding the future approach and activities of nature conservation efforts in the region.
Councillor Baker stated, “I’d like to encourage anyone with an interest in wildlife and their habitats to participate in this consultation regarding biodiversity and rewilding.” He also stated that feedback on current rewilding locations, as well as suggestions for council-owned land that might be suitable for biodiversity initiatives, are highly appreciated.
The council is also exploring methods of assisting other organisations and community groups in dedicating land for nature conservation. Feedback from the public will be instrumental in measuring public support for existing council efforts and forming strategies to support other groups in promoting biodiversity.
