Artistic Tribute to Railway History Unveiled Along Lincolnshire Line

A collection of vibrant murals marking the bicentenary of the modern railway has been unveiled along the rail line between Barton-upon-Humber and Cleethorpes. The artworks, part of the Art Along the Line project, are the work of local artist Nikita Spires, and celebrate the local history of Lincolnshire. They are funded by East Midlands Railway and the Community Rail Network and are exhibited at numerous stations including Stallingborough, Great Coates, Cleethorpes, Grimsby Docks, and New Clee. The Barton Cleethorpes Community Rail Partnership helmed the initiative, which forms part of the wider Railway 200 commemorative celebrations.
