Eight individuals were left in a potentially dangerous situation after being trapped by the rising tide at Cleethorpes Beach. The incident, which occurred at 19:20 BST on Monday, provoked a prompt reaction from local rescue teams. Five of the stranded individuals were taken to safety by a coastguard helicopter, whilst the others were able to find safety on their own. The synchronised rescue involved teams from HM Coastguard, Mablethorpe Inshore Lifeboat, Humber All Weather Lifeboat, and both the Cleethorpes and Donna Nook Coastguard Rescue teams.
